Calcio Storico Fiorentino is an early form of football, originating in the 1500’s, which is still played today in Florence, Italy. The official rules of calcio were written for the first time in 1580 by Giovanni de Bardi, a count from Florence.
Now, the tournament is held the third week of June at the Santa Croce square in the centre of Florence.

iguanaco replied to your post: So if we can ask about rumors and prejudices what’s up with the mob/mafia what have you? I hear there is a lot of mafia corruption in pretty much everything there.Actually it is our Italian prejudice that Latino people are more familiar to us that USA people and UK people and other non-Spanish/Portoguese Europeans :DThe more I read about Italy the more I’m convinced that being Latino real thing and you Italians/Portuguese/Spanish are our European cousins. First cousins. And my father considers Argentina a second Italy.
Everybody in Latin America considers Argentina a second Italy, I mean there are so many Italians and they love Italy (and Europe) so much and everybody has a nono or a nona in some branch of the family three. Or at least they brag a little about it if they have. In fact look at this ad .
